Course Description


The Definitive EMS Airway Course

Learn the full range of airway management techniques - including use of extraglottic devices, medication facilitated advanced airway management and surgical cricothyrotomy.
Work with an expert faculty who knows the unique challenges facing EMS providers.  All of our faculty members perform medication facilitated advanced airway management regularly in their clinical practices.
Use all of the airway devices in small group sessions.
Practice decision-making and airway techniques in Code Airway stations.
Face the most challenging patient scenarios in a no-risk environment.  These include: elevated ICP, pulmonary edema, cardiogenic shock, status asthmaticus foreign body in the airway, direct airway trauma, multiple trauma with shock, and many more.

Didactic and Hands-on Training 

Prediction of the Difficult Airway
Video Laryngoscopy
Medication-assisted Intubation (including RSI and RSA)
Pediatric intubation
Endotracheal tube introducers (bougie)
Cricothyrotomy
Extraglottic devices

Tuition Information

  • Registration includes electronic text, Walls Manual of Emergency Airway Management, Fifth Edition and airway reference cards.


Student Demographics


This course is approved for 16 hours of CAPCE continuing education hours. To receive these credits, your State and/or NREMT certification information is needed.


Students wishing a full refund, minus any registration fees (if applicable) must cancel at least fourteen (14) days prior to the first scheduled day of the class.

Students not cancelling at least fourteen (14) days prior to the start of class are not eligible for a refund. At the discretion of the Course Director a credit may be kept for attendance of a future course.

Please note: A minimum number of participants will be required for the class to occur. If this minimum number is not met fourteen (14) days before the course begins a course cancellation may occur and notification will occur via email to the address given in registration.

It is suggested that participants NOT book travel or lodging arrangements until 14 days before the scheduled course date in order to avoid cancellation fees of these arrangements which are not the responsibility of the course presenter, SafeTec Training Services.
